After reading a small derailed discussion in a for sale thread in which some Canadian mentioned a full-sized Tops TBT might be too small, I got to thinking about big blades and how much I like them. I own 2 BK9s and have wanted a Junglas forever....but it was the Tops OP7 that really speaks to me. I just really like the look of it and want one badly. I know there are tons out there, so lets see and hear about them. I consider anything larger than an ESEE6 to be a big blade, though Id love to see ESEE6 pics in here too.
    Lets see em. 20170212_174358.jpg 20160715_141431.jpg 20131013_135840_zpsd894d1e7.jpg

I have had a BK9 since the first week they were released. Still one of my favorite big blades.

6HM is on short end but continues to be one of my favorites. 3842DB3C-43C4-420C-9CCF-E32F660E0B3A.jpeg

BK9 is easily my most used big blade. Use it at the cabin every time I go there:

The BK6 Patrol Machete 91bravo gifted me is a chopping machine:

Even etched my BH number into it:

    She bites deep, she does:

    Makes nice sized chunks:

The e-nep is a chopping beast as well. It should be, as it's a huge blade. Next to the BK9:

While I use smaller (and thinner) blades for most everything daily, I won't be denied my big'ns.
My only two TRULY large factory blades are a BK-9 and BK-21. (BK-7 and 2xBK-5's aren't BIG).

This falls just short of truly BIG in my book, but my American Leuku is what rides on my hunting pack, though I barely get out in the woods anymore: 7" of 0.200" 1084 with 5" of tang buried deep in a haft of micarta and hickory axe handle.

This monstrosity is actually very nimble when used as a knife but chops like a hatchet with the best of em. Highly recommended if you want a budget big honkin blade.

It a Varustelka Skrama. 5/32" 80crv steel. Unbelievably tough. It's ugly as sin and acts like a large Chinese kitchen knife to me. I have beaten it thru the worst kinds of post oak and blackjack. Check out some of the you tube reviews. ;)

I use it quite a bit for my outdoor cooking stuff, whacking corn ears for pan cooking...

Or hacking thru bones for stew. I haven't managed to even gap it.
