Our last drip maker died and I don't intend to buy another. I don't want a Keurig.

I use my Moka a lot, but now that my wife has started drinking more coffee it doesn't produce enough (6 cup model) and even without her needs it only produces a couple of cups worth. I need more capacity without having to buy the 12 cup model Moka.

I've been looking at this Stanley press setup.
    https://www.stanley-pmi.com/shop/adventure-all-in-one-boil-and-brew-french-press

Thoughts, recommendations? Other simple Press setups?

I need strong, black coffee. I don't want to buy a Moka twice the size of the one I have.

I don't want to talk about portable frothers or the exact temperature needed to fully experience the flavor of a certain bean.

Coffee, black, water, heat, simple. Go.

@C99c have you considered a keurig with a reusable cup? The newer machine have a strong/black setting. We don’t ever buy the k cups we use the stainless steel reusable cup and have fresh cup after fresh cup on demand. We use similar to the metal one below.

There are about 3 different kinds out there depending on which machine you get. If you get similar to the one below you can actual pre pack it and carry it along if other have a machine and drop it in like a single use cup.

No, I'm looking for ultra simple. Heat, water, coffee of some sort = coffee. Nothing to plug in, works whether there is electricity or not.
Lights out? Heat it on the grill or fire pit or backpacking stove. Leaving for the weekend? Throw it in the car.

GSI percolator (60 cup  it’s more like 12 real sized cups. But it can boil like 5 litres of water)

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to order a perculator and a press set up this week. I don't know why I hadn't already thought of a perculator.

It looks fragile. Maybe not to a reasonable adult, but I break everything so... is it?

I've finally converted my wife from a Starbucks latte drinker to a regular black coffee drinker. She will still have Starbucks on occasion, but now really appreciates a good cup of better quality, properly prepared coffee.

As far as the company goes, while they generally, in my opinion, deserve most of the criticism sent their way, they do take care of their employees. I've had friends and kids of friends employed by the company over the past decade. They all speak very highly of how they were treated and the opportunities they were given.

Like most similar companies, between the top tier SJW decision makers and the occasional lazy counter worker with a bad attitude are a lot of good people just trying to make a living.

    https://fourdog.com/1-1-liter-bush-pot-hard-anodized/

I have been using this every day for the past 6 months, both in the field and at home.
1 scoop for 8 oz water. Remember to subtract your settling water. I use 1 oz for every 5 oz boiled.
My usual is 3 scoops to 20 oz water. Add to cold water then put on heat. 'Tried warming water first like the video and didn't find any difference. I use refrigerator cold filtered water.
Do Not Cover! Bring to boil with high heat.
When it just begins to foam, reduce heat to rolling boil with out boiling over.
Start timer when you reduce heat (3 minutes depending on coffee).
Remove from heat and pour 4 oz cool/cold water to settle grounds and wait a minute. Pour gently.

Use half the water and it makes fantastic iced coffee!

Usually a automatic drip at home. French press, pour over, or Moka pot if I want to treat myself to a nice coffee.

I haven’t seen that Stanley but it looks great. I have a Stansport French press (its hard to find a non glass French press by the way). I love to make overnight, cold, refrigerated French press coffee.
