I mean slide the entire knife and sheath down one row , like this So imagine a super slim flat tube sheath, with a thin vertical strap that starts at the bottom, and goes up , weaved thru the molle and fastened at the top .
I got thinking that may have been what you meant after I posted the pictures. Sorry, Canadian to Arkansas translator on my phone was turned off again. But I agree with you, that would be slick, slick, slick.
@Bushman5 I would love a sheath like that! My #1 concern would be durability.. Heck.. My Cr2.5 is kinda missing at the moment... (House construction..) BUT when I do find it I’ll have to see what I can sew up. I have seen pouches retained by a doubled over and sewn piece of nylon web. Think the end of a bag strap where it gets doubled over and sewn and creates that little flap that stops it from feeding through the buckles etc. one of those little flaps top and bottom so it can’t go either direction if that makes sense.
I'm going to rough up a prototype out of heavy wall heat shrink tubing with adhesive and a folded piece of kydex or plastic (kydex inside the tubing, heat it shrink to fit. )
The pictures don’t do it justice... Used it to cut concrete concrete bags and all other cutting needs on a large deck recently. It is Now BEAUTIFUL
one of my buddies spent time int he joint for being Native, drunk and violent. Hes been out for years now and does interior painting. Clean and True, no issues with the law in years now. He saw my 2.5 the other day and said, you know.....if i had that when I was in prison, I would have killed about 20 P.O.S. before the guards even got onto the block. Thats a dangerous little blade in the right hands . made me feel all warm and fuzzy. It is quite the little shank. @Se7eN still thiks its a glorified steak knife , but he'll come around in time.
A toothbrush handle sharpened on a concrete floor has killed many men in prison. The Cr2.5 is a great knife, but i’m Convinced that it is a product of left over 1095 from other knife designs. Recycle the steel = more profit margins. It’s a great design for use in the camp kitchen or for fire prep. I’m a fan of it @Bushman5 , but it’s still a glorified steak knife.
