So.......THE CAT is out of the bag.....This is a knife we have been working on a long time.....we had not intended on showing at Blade Show bc there are some logistics to work out still......however....these knives are production prototypes.....but this is THE KNIFE.... To answer your next questions: I don't know..........not sure...........not sure on that either.....the spots on the handle are oil from the bobbin that sewed the sheath the day before the Rowens got on a plane and hand delivered them to Blade Show........it's 5/32" thick and feels great in the hand....Specs on the official spec sheet... Obviously MORE info to follow.....we will have these at the booth tomorrow showing them to any and all that want to see them!!
once you put this blade in hand...if you are a hunter....you know it's purpose......More info on all the other stuff as soon as we get it.... we really wanted to get this knife in hand of our customers and friends at Blade Show to get some feedback....we had not intended to release it but with the overwhelmingly positive response....we decided to to ahead and put it out there..
and that's why I'm hoping it starts hitting shelves by late October, so I have a hope of getting one before I get a deer -- OTOH, my izzy 2 works pretty good on whitetail, too, so it's not like I won't be out there anyway.
I can't wait to get my hands on one of these. With the wife and I shooting 4 deer a year, small game, quail, ducks, and turkeys, and running a trap line it looks like a knife that would fill a lot roles.
With a 4.75” grip the blade could be reversed and help with skinning down legs etc. Ill own one or two.
Well, I know next to zero about processing game but I default to Ashley Emerson's experience in the field. This thing has been in the works for a while going back and forth between Ashley and us. Glad to see it coming out.
This looks great! Very excited for this to come out! I hope kydex sheath with a large drain hole will be offered down the road... I prefer leather most of the time, but with blood, hair, and fat in the field, leather is a bit harder to keep clean. Can't wait to pick one up!

I am in, 3 please, my 2.5Y/o twins need quality equipment. I tried to like the PR4, the straight handle just didn’t do it for me, the blade was great though. I like my JG5 and 3 mil. Go ahead and get the orange scales also, I will need a set. I enjoy the robust feel of the ESEE brand.
