I looked yesterday and didn’t see any yet. Normally first or second week of June here. I’ll be filling up a couple of Yeti buckets with some this year.

I started out with just the 8" Lodge on top, lower left, many years ago. (Cornbread skillet) The 10" under it is the one I found buried in my yard. Seems like the more times fire and food get combined the larger the collection gets. ( Ignore those 2 scrawny carbon steel stepchildren in the upper right. Don't know how they managed to sneak in there. ;) )

Took a trip to Mt.Magazine and stayed in a cabin. way to much rain to tent camp.
Did some D.O. cooking while we were there.
I got a new 8" D.O. for a early fathers day.I am seasoning it a little before cooking.

Nice. :). The 8" was the first DO I ever got. It's my go to for bread or a stir up when it's just the 2 of us.

And I hear you on the rain...came down in sheets for 2 continuous days here. I've got a carp canal in front of my house vs a drainage ditch. Sheesh. :D

Restored an old 8# sash/drappes weight today that I found in the lake bottom back when it was dry. Some time in the past someone had used it for a troutline.

Bought a china walmart camping griddle. Pretty sure its the worst cast ive ever seen. Hopefully some 60 grit will get it to settle and take a finish. It was less than 10$.

I'll wager some time spent with some 60 or 80 grit, followed by some 120 will make it serviceable. If it sucks at cooking sausage patties and pancakes, then Zeek's idea is perfect.

As a side note, had a big cookout at a friend's house. While doing dishes, the cast iron was washed & rinsed, then turned upside down to dry because "the towel was too wet". Ummm.... find another towel? Thankfully, that's not my cast iron that's back to square one.

It's too hot. You don't want to heat up the house by cooking inside, but you don't want to hang out on the patio with the fire either. Venison chunks, some link sausages, smattering of vegetables and some mixed beans. Dump it in a pot and cook for 2 1/2 hours. ;)

Restored/repurposed treadle pedal sewing machine stand, makes a great futon side table for the cabin.
