The Novak sights are excellent, and this gun feels really good in the hand. IWB holster arrived for it today as well, and it's quite easy to carry and conceal.

And I have to say, the trigger is surprisingly good out of the box. I had read many comments about people getting SP101s with excessively heavy and/or gritty triggers and I'm not finding either of those things with this one.

I thought I'd share something I've been playing around with, for those of you who carry Speed/Quick strips:

It's a new product from NeoMag that allows you to easily install just about any quick strip option into the holder and adds a pocket clip to the mix. You can also quickly switch the clip to the other side, depending on where you carry and what orientation you prefer. The added benefit I'm finding with it is that it gives me something larger and more solid to hang on to when I draw it from my pocket and proceed to reload than just the little tab on the quick strip, which sometimes I find kind of floppy/fumbly. Overall, I'm liking it so far.

I do too. The only drawback is they are trickier to reload quickly.

Here's a little more info on these:

Installed a #10 Wilson Combat hammer spring in the SP101. It wasn't bad before, but it's slick as hot butter know.

It's exactly what keeps happening to me, I had multiple handgun calibers and when we had the ammo crunch I decided to pare it back to just .45 ACP but lately I have been on a little 9mm run and now another revolver;)

Thanx Mike, Steelhead flies in front and trout streamers in the big box. I tied most of them.

#8 trigger return spring (also from Wilson Combat)

And I have a replacement rubber grip from Altamont on order that has the 'snakeskin' texture for more grippiness. The stock walnut inserts will stay the same.

Other than that, nothing else to mess with. It's a great shooter and capable of great accuracy - better than many other snubbies I've shot.

Thanks for info. I could've sent you that grip. I don't use it anymore.

    Doh!

Looks like a well-loved SP you got there.

I should also add that a big part of the reason I opted for the 'Wiley Clapp' version was that it included Novak adjustable sights. Otherwise, if I had the stock sights, I would probably have upgraded those as well.
