    everything in balance :)

pretty much rest of the week i'll eat veggies, very little bread, some fats, etc. Everything organic/locally sourced.

I eat meat like once a week....usually chicken breasts or hamburger. It is SO expensive up here......a simple 2lb chuck roast is about $15

If i ate like some of you BBQ folks....I'd beer spending about $2000 a month up here.

Ive been continuing my story to the wifey that I’m going to learn the bag pipes. :) Actually the more I look into it the cooler I think it would be! But realistically not feasible. So I have spent most the day researching alternatives and I think I’m settled on a tin Whistle.. More practical and far quieter. I have always wanted to learn the harmonica to play around the campfire and never was really successful. The tin whistle seems more up my alley for a campfire instrument.
I’ll see if I can get a video to load. But for anyone who has seen lord of the rings this is the whistle that plays the shire theme and concerning hobbits. Could def be interesting to play around the fire :)
2 additional benifits to the Tin whistle is they can be had CHEAP and they are a great stepping stone into playing the bagpipes if I still wanted to later on.

Well the car went into the shop today. Hopefully it's nothing too bad. But I also found out that there was a recall on my vehicle for the front valve cover gasket, which is one thing I was having replaced. Question though, do mechanic shops have to tell you if there's a recall or are they allowed to charge you for something you can get free? I don't think they've started on it yet, but I don't want to wait too long to say something.

Any half decent, reputable shop will tell you when they run the VIN.

I've had horrible luck when it comes to shops here. This one was recommended though, and it's a small shop. Hopefully they're honest. Gonna call first thing in the morning just to be sure.

The wifey was driving my truck today.. Someone made the mistake of plowing there little Honda Civic type car into the back bumper... Other then scarring the heck’s out of the wifey she’s fine.
BUT the all metal bumper and ball hitch while kinda bent tore the other drivers front end up!!
It appears that it sheared off all their break lines etc...
Yet another reason i own a truck!

There was another shop out on T highway that I've used in the past, but since the owner died I'm not sure about the current management.

Well I got a call from the auto shop this morning. He said the valve cover gaskets were not the things leaking but the intake manifold was. That is going to be almost $800 to fix, according to him but he said it wasn't that bad so it could wait a while. Also there is no battery drain or draw so that's good, it must've been just the battery itself. This is what I like to hear and he was honest about everything.
