If you had to survive for one month alone in the remote wilderness, what 2 edged tools would you bring? No axe or hatchet allowed.

For right now for me this would be it. I have used these on many adventures, and they have proven their usefulness. I have beat the Scrama like no other, so I have complete faith in it. The Mora, well it does all small tasks with ease, and presision. I don't trust anything as much, yet.

    So, what are your choices?

    Hmmm. Good question.

Assuming a saw is not on the ok list id go with a Junglas 1 and a JG3.

    I would also say
Junglas 1 but I would take my PR4.

My Junglas 2 and Mora Bushcraft Black. My jg-3 could replace the Mora but love them both.

Probably ESEE 6 and a Laplander saw.

But I will say that I've done many month-long trips (and longer) in remote places with a SAK being my only edged edged tool, and somehow survived just fine.

    2 Bear Grylls Knives....

Becker BK9 (I havent gotten to try a Junglas yet) and probably my bk16....but I'd really prefer a 3 blade kit in which I would add my izula

Dang you, @Strigidae now you have me looking into buying a JG3! Never gave them any thought till now. Thanks for nothing, lol. I'm actually torn between the JG3, and the RB3.

The JG3 is an awesome knife, it’s my current user, I just have more Bush time under my PR4

I have the Pr4 so the Jg3 may be redundant. What do you think. I also wear XL gloves do you think the handle will be too small?

I wear large gloves and there is no issue with handle size, so it just comes down to having both. Im not really the to ask about redundant knives, I have roughly 7 Esee 3s in my house, also the RB3, JG3, PR4, Laserstrike, JG5. All of which are capable knives for a month long jaunt into the woods. I will say the design of the JG3 is on point, I knew the first time I ever held one I had to have it.

Thank you for answering! I think I may have to buy one. Is it true that they are discontinued?

Not discontinued sir. The camp lore logo uncoated ones were phased out to bring in the ESEE logo black oxide offering.

Pretty smart choices here. That would be a great combo.
