Anyone done the 6-48 to 8-40 conversion on their scope base?

Honestly I don’t think it’s necessary. Now many Remington’s have had issues with the base screws having been cut slightly off center and this is a way to true it up if the issue was minimal.

But standard calibers aren’t recoiling enough to cause an issue.

Now if you managed to strip a screw then go for it it creates a great solution to that problem

RPR 6.5CM topped with NF SHV, leave the shag carpet alone....I like how it feels on my feet. Heavy boom stick, makes small holes on paper. I really need to start reloading for this one.

My underdog and perhaps favorite, Mod 70 Win .25-06. Kind of a forgotten, unknown round. Shoots .270 flat and hits like a train. Really likes the Berger 115gn VLD’s it will reach out a ways and anchor whatever whatever game or vermin you’re chasing. Topped with NF Glass.

This thread needs to be a sticky so I don't have to go searching for it.

This should be arriving sometime this week. I'm still not sold on the chassis that's on it, but if I don't like it I'll swap it out for my KRG Bravo.

    Bergara HMR chambered in 6.5CM
    MDT ESS chassis
    Burris XTR II 5-25
    SPHUR 4001 mount
    Seekins 20MOA base

New rifle, who dis? This thing isn't a one hole monster like the .308 was (keep in mind I'm breaking the barrel in with El Cheapo Hornady American Gunner, rather than match grade stuff) but holy **** is it a wind cheater! I zerod with a constant 10MPH wind yesterday and then placed a few shots on a 10" plate at 270yds with no need for a wind hold at all. I'll be able to push the plate back once my neighbors moves his cows to another field. I didn't want to use USDA beef as a backstop yesterday lol.

this is my IPSC target at 100yds, not the 10” plate at 270.
