Yup. I use one as a top lid on my Umlindi from time to time. Works great.

Very. As with most HPG stuff, their are multiple ways to attach it to a pack, and I don't even use all of them, as it's plenty secure enough and would be overkill. Here's a couple pics to give some idea (I'm using two Grimlocs on the backside of the pack, and then a top strap over the whole thing:

Has anyone attached a Kifaru Sherman Pocket onto an Umlimdi or seen it done?

Yep. Technically RAT influenced. Solkoa is making them available as a preloaded rig package deal with all your Search and Rescue essentials included.

New product!!!! Looks to have a lot of modularity. Might be the one pack to do it all.

The m2016 will fit on the bottom front of the umlindi too if you didnt want to go top with it. Was playing with stuff sacks top and bottom and m2016 on front like a tara pocket would go.

Hadn't thought of that, but I like it. The more I play around with HPG stuff and discover how seriously modular their various pieces are, the more I find their gear hard to beat. With just a couple different packs, one of their belts and a few different accessory pockets that you can mix and match, you can be covered for everything from a simple day hike to an extended self-supported trip. It's awesome.
