    My oldest is almost 18. I look back and miss her being little, cute, and small enough to hold with one arm. I don't miss her crapping all over me.

    I purchased one from Amazon last November for $40. Used it for several hours while staining a door and then again while snowblowing and clearing snow. No problems plenty bright for my purposes. I keep it in my truck most of the time and am using Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries because of their performance in the cold and leak resistance. For $40 it's a win.

    Also dropped it from 5ft+ on to the tile floor. The battery compartment opened but no damage.

    It shouldn’t be so hard to find dry wood to practice on.... Being Surrounded by swamps everything is always wet....
    I might have to start chopping up 2x4s or 2x6. For more fun/ practice...

    @RocketmanDane

    I feel your pain. I recently went and bought a stack of firewood from Home Depot so I could get some material to work with.

    I've put off practicing skills for too many years under the idea that if it isn't perfect it's not worth doing, and that buying materials I don't naturally have at my disposal is "cheating." All that mentality gets you is a guarantee that you're not doing anything, cause I haven't found a thing yet that's perfect.

    BC Canada has the best Cancer unit for both Adults (at Vancouver General Hospital), and for children, (at Children's Hospital on Oak St Vancouver) in the world.

    Children's Hospital often experiences major celebrities dropping in UNANNOUNCED, to visit the kids and teens on the various stages of the cancer wards.

    Johnny Depp is a local........(21 JumpStreet, I grew up watching that series, and in my 20's got to visit all the film sets of 21 JumpStreet - literally right in my neighborhood! , amongst MANY other major TV and movie series).Johnny is a regular here in BC. You can literally drink coffee with him on Main St coffee shops, or suddenly he shows up at VGH or Childrens Hospital unannounced.

    found a touching video of Johnny Depp visiting Childrens Hospital Cancer ward for Kids. I recognize a few of the staff and on of the patients, from when i worked in HealthCare Safety & Security.

    just awesome.

    @HelRaiser
    I don’t mind dropping a few $$ to get wood it’s just weird for me to have to. Even in LARGE city’s I’ve lived I could stop by a park or a local recycling center and find atleast something. It’s almost like the only reason a tree around here dies is due to insect infestation... I can’t complain because nature is very alive here. Just a real pain...

    @Bushman5 that’s supper cool!!
    I know that the BIG children’s hospital back home gets a lot of big name and legendary musicians that drop in unannounced and low key. I’m not sure why they come to town because they usually aren’t preforming but the hospital is big on music therapy and some how gets them to drop in to jam and sing with and for the kids and parents.

    Was 69 degrees this afternoon.

    Supposed to get freezing drizzle tomorrow morning.

    This is why we gripe about the cold, can’t ever get used to it.
