So I did a 3 hour etch on both side of my Candiru 72008682-B170-48A5-A373-36E4C144ECAB.jpeg 81C50FC3-8B44-4D98-902A-84564BA6E517.jpeg B8775E82-BF69-4516-B11C-B5DD960C1629.jpeg

    It came out nice

Then I decided to do a cord wrap on it to see if I want the handles.

I don't think I posted these yet. I bought them back in May and haven't carried the Candiru yet. The green and orange Izzy is the wife's. I also finally bought myself an Izula 2. P5091753.JPG

So I mad a slight modification to my Candiru handle. I wanted to add a lanyard to it but with the stock scales there is no hole. I took some inspiration fro TKC scales and drilled a hole in the bottom.

It fits great, you do have to leave out the screw spacer on the bottom or cut it in half. I just left it out for now.

Thanks, I clamped the scales together and started with a small bit and gradually worked up in size

Acid etch is actually more precise I think, it just takes longer. That's why I use the salt water method.

    Nice to know!
I looked at mine the other day and looks like mine needs some love. So gonna etch it and strip it I think.

Fellow member here wanted some scales, but I have been covered up with shop work.
    Finally getting them worked out.

This knife combo is an early wedding anniversary gift from my wonderful wife. Took them out this Saturday to the ranch to try them out. Candiru is my new EDC and the 3 will be my new hunting knife for this season. Did some food prep and did some battoning on some hard South Texas mesquite wood. Knives worked like a dream. Just wanted to post to try and revive this candiru thread.
