    A little more spendy than I’d normally go for in a SAK, but when I saw the tray to hold a toothpick, tweezers, & mini ferro rod I couldn’t resist. I’ve always wanted an alox SAK with the toothpick.

    Yup. He’s robertjlessard on instagram.

    It’s Syph007’s version of the Pioneer X. Titanium scales and he added the tool tray. It will hold the toothpick & tweezers and either a victorinox pen or a mini ferro rod. I think he gets them from firesteel.com.

    That’s really slick. I just ordered the firefly ferro rods that fit in the normal toothpick cavity...

    Those are cool. Will they just fit the toothpick slot, or will they also fit the tweezer?

    I have to trim the tabs on the toothpick & tweezers to get them to fit the tray.

    This is from Friday but my ranger got a little bit of adventure time. Used it to clear a smallish path to a small stream bed to take soil core samples for my lab. The trees I used to empty out one core that I wanted to redo. Think a reverse post driver and a scraper of sorts.

    So the firefly SAK firedteels arrived. Cost my about $18 shipped for all 3 so not terrible. It fits in my after market scales well. Hard to get out without a finger nail since the scales are a little thicker than stock. Great retention in the slot. Sparks off the saw well, doesn’t throw big globs but enough where if it’s all you had it would be fine. See photos below;
