Surlys are definitely your type, tinkers dream bike, next add on is going to be a frame bag and then I'll be completely set, don't really need it for the volume but it will help me balance the weight alittle better.

For sure. Some of the most fun I've ever had on a bike.

I’ve started some light commuting and family bike rides recently this summer. Gonna try to do the Katy Trail in the spring with my wife, in the meantime I try to explore and get in some extra miles.

Anyone have experience with “no flat” / solid core tires?? We have some pretty wicked sticker seeds around here and they do a number on regular bike tires...

I would strongly dissuade you from those....much heavier and make climbing and handling way worse....I would strongly steer you towards a Tubeless option running the Stan's No Tubes liquid sealant in side... (NOT Slime)....a Tubeless set up would seal up quick and you'd never knew you had a thorn in your tire...

Pro tip: Add a little glitter (dealers choice on color) to the Stan's Sealant and it acts like platelets in the blood and seals up quicker..

Some good info on Tubeless here:

    https://www.notubes.com/technology/tubeless

You can also run lower air pressures which equate to a better ride quality, more traction, and NO CHANCE of pinch flats like you would get with tradition Tubed options....

That's why fat tires were invented, right? Along with riding on snow.

Maine has very few sandy shores. It's all rocky shore here.

But we got lots of snow.

I'm going to take a wild guess here. You rode through some mean mud, yes?

Does that mean this bike could be an escape vehicle after a drenching hurricane?

Received a GT aggressor Pro for Christmas :) Great bike so far but it’s going to take some serious adjusting/ fiddling to get it working.. Brakes, pedals, shifters etc.. The guys who it together may need a refresher on basic Bike Maintaince

@Ibisman56 I see from @shaneadams90 quoted posted that you are moving to Idaho. All i will say is Goat Head HE^%#%^#%^#LLLLLL&%$^%#LLLLLLLLLL IE it has some serious sticker/ thorn issues there. If you don't know already be preparing for extreme anti flat tire measures...
    Idaho words 101 :)
("Goat head" is a sticker thorny thing)
("whistle pig" is a ground squirrel / varmint that carry nasty horrible diseases and they all must die....)

Welcome in advance to Idaho! And goatheads depend a lot on where you are in the state. We don't have any around these parts (we just have large things that will eat you, and serious winters, but it keeps the riff-raf out :D).

Soulcrafts are sweet bikes. Love to see a pic of it when you can.
