About to send a couple off for a slide refinishing.

    You’ll have to be patient.

    Good news:
Almost done with them and they’ll be back to me soon.

    Bad news:
The 23 slide has a crack in it that I had never noticed, and the company I sent it to didn’t notice until after they sprayed it with Gunkote. Once it was sprayed it was obvious.
Guess I’ll be getting in touch with Glock once I get it back to see if they can do anything. Not hopeful to be honest, but we’ll see.

Apparently it is on the lug that hangs down on the muzzle end to capture the guide rod.

Not sure how anything I could have ever done would crack it there, it is covered by the frame when assembled.

Gun is basically brand new despite being a few years old, I’ve never shot it.

“New” but outside of Glocks advertised 1 year warranty. So we will see.

I’m already shopping new slides just in case.

Sounds like a manufacturing fault not a use issue. That part of the slide should not be catching much pressure from firing/cycling as it spring buffered...

I agree. It is made to withstand such great stresses, it is an odd area to have a problem.

I wish I had noticed it before.

I suppose I’ll at least get to see if Anodized FDE looks good with the Glock FDE color frame.
Other silver lining, easier to just move forward with an optic ready slide.

I have never heard of such a thing before. Sheesh sucks all that time and energy was put into a faulty product.

Ain't that holster backwards? ;) I've got the same thing for my 20 tied into my hpg recon harness. Works great.
