This would be something I'd definitely need multiples off. One for inside the house, one for the shop, and one for leather work only.

Since scissors are often referred to as a "pair of scissors", let me rephrase my previous post. I just pre-ordered a pair of a pair. :D

As an update, we'll be getting these going almost immediately. Just gotta' deal with the tumult of having the Kingfishers land and filling all of those preorders, then we'll be getting a batch done up.

@FortyTwoBlades do you think these would be good for kitchen use? I mean, it goes through leather and such so it should split a bird fairly easily right? The video above won’t load on my phone so I can’t see it past about 20 seconds. How are they held together, a screw? Just thinking about how much crap I can get stuck in there and would have to clean out (for kitchen duty). Lastly, how would you recommend sharpening these? I’m going to have a scissor attachment for my Edge Pro soon so I’m guessing that would work? Or are these convexed like hair shears?

They use a hex-headed pivot screw, so they can be easily adjusted or disassembled. They'd do well for kitchen use, but you'd need to treat them like a carbon steel kitchen knife in that they're unplated high carbon steel, so they'll develop a patina in use.

I've actually just put the check in the mail for the production. These are gonna' be fun. :)

It's been funny chatting about the specs with my manufacturing partner for them. They're seemingly baffled by folks wanting them without plating on them. "You do realize, they'll rust, right?" "Yeah, that's kind of the idea actually." Nothing like the patina on a well-used set of vintage shears.

No updates for awhile but when I get home from work on Friday, imagine what is waiting for me.

    I'd know that logo anywhere.

Here is a little bit of scale next to my trusty old Estwing sledge hammer.

The large loop has an interior dimension roughly 3-1/2" long by 7/8" wide. The small loop is roughly 1-5/8" long and 1-1/8" wide.
