Yeah, Arc'teryx makes great stuff but it sure is pricey. And it's hard to tempt me away from my HPG Tara at this point.

When I bought mine they were only $350 and there really wasn't any good alternatives. But hpg makes some awesome stuff these days and it's a huge bonus to buy gear from a company that actually engages with its customers

Random question, anyone know of a pencil style pouch, that has a hang loop on it?

Anyone have a Mystery Ranch 3 Day Assault CL? This might be my next pack purchase...

I like a pack that I can get at that one small item at the bottom of my pack by manipulating the zippers and not having to pull out the entire contents of the pack (the zipper is the best feature of the Khard in my opinion)

I have the Mystery Ranch Scree 32L. It's similar to the 3 Day Assault, without the MOLLE and internal pockets.

I used my friends 3dap for a week while he used my khard. It was certainly a nice pack but super bulky and definitely heavier than the khard. He went and bought a khard after using mine for the week

EDIT I should add that he also got his assault 30 (new khard) for $250 or he probably wouldn't have bought it

I like it alot. Very comfortable and handles the weight well. I just use it for day hikes tho.

    Thanks Flex,

I like to carry pencils/pens/markers, etc. when I'm out. Bigger pouches tend to let things bounce around too much. I wanted something that could easily strap to the outside of my pack.

Thanks, that actually looks perfect for what I wanted!

my range backpack is now complete with the addition of the blue force gear trauma kit now! pouch.

just added a blue force gear micro trauma kit now! pouch on my bedside gun belt rig. the dump pouch i've found works well for me as a shotgun ammo carrier (just dump it all in there)...from testing i can reload just as fast, if not faster, than a dedicated shotgun ammo carrier...and i can carry more ar mags too without adding another pouch.

lol I remember trying to shoot left handed. Right after it fired off, the mag dropped. Making me look like a fool. You'd think they'd make more left handed things.

Am I the only one, that caries more than one writing utensil everywhere I go?

Got a few normal pouches, but none have a way to attach to a pack.

I tend to carry 2 lead pencils, click eraser, normal eraser, sharpie, gel pen, and a fountain pen. Drawing outdoors is quite soothing. Wish I did more of it.

lol. i'm used to everything being righty and i've adapted...with that said my gen 5 glock 17 and hk vp9 do have ambi slide lock/release which is nice but i'm used to grabbing the slide back and releasing it anyway to reload.

most likely...i usually only carry one pen. the thick moleskine is in my edc pack and the thin one is in my pocket always...i gotta make sure i write down my review notes about a certain massage joint and girl right after so i know if i should come back there again or not :D

this is still on topic because you can see my homemade low speed high drag tyvek notebook pouch in there.
