I’ll pick a winner around 5 central. That gives you guys time to throw some gear in a bag, get to the woods, kill something, skin it, gut it, build a fire, cook it until the worms are dead, take a picture, eat it (not the picture) put the fire out, pack up, return home, edit pics, post pics, and be a possible winner...or maybe a loser.
My bad guys, I’m an hour late. I have to say the entries were impressive but I’m amazed that @mtngoat was able to spatchcook a whole human being, post the pics on the internet, and not go to jail. @mtngoat you win, I don’t even care who you killed. None of my business. Email me at Casey@redeyedhog.com with your address and I get it out ASAP. Thanks for playing along guys. (Except you @Strigidae)
I would have to say it taste more like kangaroo but less gamey, and yes I have eaten every one of them.
Yes, we had Kanga Bangers on the BBQ for part of dinner last night in fact (along with some Greek lamb kebabs) !! When it comes to Kangaroos most people overcook it, on a plate it should never be cooked past rare (maybe medium for the fussy). The extra cooking turns it to rubber !! I like to cut it relatively and allow it to land on a searing plate for enough to sear and seal each side. Then serve !!
