    Burns well if thinned out, scraping your blade along like it was Fatwood will give some great shavings.
    This is what is used in the Bamboo Fire Saw as Tinder......

    Here's an oak bark boat filled with fatwood curls. Some damp wood called for a little extra heat to get cooking.
