Its close but the loops wrap around the shank of the hook. Seems like a snell but backwards. Closest thing I came up with was a uni knot.
I think you right. A cinch maybe with an extra loop... Here is what I came up with while experimenting (image shows front and back)t works pretty well. Now I have to slowly undo it so I remember how I did it lol Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it.
How about the Double Fisherman’s knot? This is one of my most used knots. During my first rappel course years ago, which was led by members of the Toronto Fire Department’s High Angle Rescue Team, we had to practice tying the double fisherman (and the figure 8) in the dark, and were tested on it. I can still tie it in the dark twenty plus years later thanks to that course...
Im going to work on the double fisherman later this week. My goal is to learn a new knot each week. After a while I will naturally develop a list of favorites and go to knots.
