Awesome! I've got a couple MP600 variants and they are solid tools. They rattle a bit due to their design but dont let that fool you. Plus the flicky pliers are fun to play with.

Yeah I've become less of a knife junky and gotten more into MTs and SAKs over the last few years. It's a slippery slope!

Anybody got one of the new waves with the replaceable jaws? Is that all that changed?

Are the bits for the leatherman as soft or as bad as the reviews say they are?

Honestly I couldn't tell you. I don't much care for LM's flat bits so I usually use an adapter and standard 1/4" bits. The SOG ones seem ok.

So the adapter can be seen in my above that you quoted. One end fits into flat slot on the tool that is designed for the Leatherman flat bits. The other end will accept standard 1/4" hex drive bits.

I think there are 1/4" hex adapters out there that will also fit on the standard Phillip's driver on tools like the ST300.
Not sure what would work on the Wingman. Are you sure that's the tool you have? You said you've had it for 11 years but I think they only came out in 2011?

Really enjoying having a multitool again. The surge is a game changer for me, the outside accessible scissors and changeable saw blades have made it something I use a lot more that when I had my wave IMG_20180704_144113_027.jpg
