all right, between @STPNWLF and I, we got this all figured out......an all in one:

liquid fuel lighter, removable ferro rod and scraper, a 4 hole storage tube body for tinder storage / fishing kit / sewing kit & matches, all in their own 3/4" diameter tube, with cordage / duct tape storage areas on the outside, plus a removable brass compass on one end with a highly polished bottom (signal mirror) and a lanyard attachment loop on the other.

    :D

    Something like that
    EXOTAC rip-spool on one end
ESEE advanced fire kit on the other
2 or ? Extension tubes in middle with whatever you decide to stuff inside.

Thanks for the ideas. We are always looking for new things to produce and have a few items that will be showing up shortly.

With the needle like that it looks like you could use it as an awl, or at least give you a little help getting it through thick material.

I bet a @5col mini ranger band would cover that fishing line snug to protect/hold the loose end, perfectly. I know I use them on sewing machine bobbins of thread that I keep in my repair kits.

I think that sounds about right! These are cool little repair kits. I'm looking forward to the day when these are available for Exotac dealers...
