We are starting to try a little homesteading. Planted several variety’s af fruit trees this year along with blueberries,raspberries, figs, gogi
Pecans etc have several yardbirds looking at getting some dual purpose goats. Here is a small garden we have started.

 

Picked my first or pepper rather yesterday to go with dinner nice little cayenne.

 

Only 2500 more to go.

Started harvesting garlic last weekend. Plan to finish up this weekend. No freakin vampires in AL.

 

Nice garlic! And nicer sink!

 

I turned a 40' container into a kitchen/food processing center at the farm. Keeps the mess out of the house. A lot easier to bleach, hose down and keep clean. Do all of our dehydrating, canning and cleaning inside.

Today's harvest

 

I am still looking for a commercial type gas range to add and at some point I will probably tile the floor for ease of cleaning . At this time I have a large barrel fan that I roll in there to keep the air circulated and their are 3 turbines in the roof. Once I move over there full time I will probably cut a hole in the end and mount a chicken house style fan or even a large swamp cooler.

I should also note and will later post pics, the kitchen in the tiny house on the property are where all of my Expat blades are kept.

 

A picture from the Home Depot run the other day. This is about 1/5 of the total tomato stakes we will set this season. Almost done!

 

Finally got most of the Fall garden planted
Green and ruby red cabbage, Swiss chard, spinach, carrots, radishes, and one lowly collared.

 

Spread some more pine straw yesterday, and did some weeding.
Carrots and radishes are sprouting.
