Thank you, they are fun. Takes some effort though, I gotta use my 7lb hammer to make any real progress.

I would, but all except two have been sold. Saving up for an anvil :)

Some work from yesterday. Started out with some 1-7/8 round, and gave it the squish until it ended up at 2-1/2". This took a lot of effort. It will end up as another skull.

    Next to a 7lb hammer

Then started working on a coat hook thing, inspired by draw knives.

Just mocked up for now. Deciding on either hot rivet or screws for the hooks.

    $45 for 5/8'' wide
    $55 for 1'' wide
    $65 for 1.5'' wide
$80 for 2-2.5'' wide (these ones take some major effort on my end, as I don't actually have stock this wide. So I'm upsetting/compressing longer and narrower stock to get the final dimensions)

All prices include shipping within the U.S. and paypal fees.

The last one I finished with the temper colors weighed a hair under 2lbs. Haven't weighed the current one I'm working on, but it should be maybe 2.25lb(?) it took me 2 hours to get it that size with a 7lb hammer. Boy do I wish I had a hydraulic press or power hammer.

Picked up a cheap flux welder over the weekend. Finally got around to replacing my old ghetto hardy post. It was originally a wooden 4x4 with a bunch of screws and nails. So I welded up a new one, then filled it with sand. Welds aren't great, and it's still ghetto, but its holding so far, and much better than the wood.

Then I attempted to make a tong blank, but it got screwed. Followed by blind rage, and resulted it my best leaf so far

    That leaf looks fantastic.

Man, that is a lot of work upsetting the round for the skulls. Popeye in the making.

    Knife blank forged out today.

    Thank you.

It sure is, that's why I started buying bigger stock. Luckily interest has dropped in them, but I plan to work on another batch with some interesting things.

    Nice blade!

VaughnT tells me to say hello to you guys for him.

Well, I'm still undecided on how to mount this wall hook. But I did mock it up with rivets for the hooks themselves. Pleased with the overall look.
