    If I am limited to "ONE" it will be a Busse ASH1, they are factory in 4 thicknesses (generally), .18, .22, .25 (a few in INFI @.27 but most are the new BGs in SR101) and .32. In order for me to have "ONE" it would be .25(7) (INFI) .22, .32 and .18 (I do have an anomalous .20 one as well). As I don't have an INFI .25 I will grab one of the .22s first. They all have a choil :D

    I had a stripped ASH1 BG for a bit.
    Loved the handle and pummel but it was pretty heavy and thick.
    Not my cup of tea for a survival knife.
    My M6 is about equivalent in size....but not quite as thick @ .25
    SR101 is much easier to sharpen than INFI and just as durable......lot cheaper!
    I like the modified bowie shape of the blade lil better too.

    Somewhere around there, long before I was interested in them. An M9 was my first Swamp Rat and it took ma ages to find a 6 after that !

    No choil. Less than 5 more than 4. Something that can hold an edge and resist rust. My choice at 4.4 inches

    I would say my LS with an ESEE survival tin on the sheath, but I just couldn't leave this behind.....

    Esee 6 would be my "one knife" solution, and love the choil on the 6 - gives great versatility and control with smaller tasks, and you don't really lose anything by having it there

    I turned my new 6 into my perfect survival knife with the TKC upgrades..
    I also have a Benchmade Arvensis, a Fallkniven S1 and my Buck 119 and 120 I enjoy taking into the woods.
