Got my Librachi last night. Looking forward to cutting up some cocaine with it. Oh and I made a new friend to. Says he “ knows” Expat?!
So you got a sharpened rectangle, and a spangly outfit (bet that Librachi look goes over reeaaalll good. ) your fron Texas....where the BBQ'd pig pics dude?!
Is there anything that I may have around the house that I can use to darken the wooden handle on my libarachi machete?
I sanded and applied a few coats of Watco Danish oil on my Mini Duku. Darkened them right up: https://bushcraftusa.com/forum/threads/danish-oil-on-dry-scales.71017/#post-3842433
When bored at camp.... Mini fish gig Yes, @shaneadams90 , that is a feathered shaving done with the Libertariat
I've used leather dye on wood and then a coat or two of tung oil. How have I missed this thread for so long?
I'm gonna have to apologize in the show your 4 thread. I blame it on the libertariat again. I have a brand new 4hm. Love the feel. So on Labor Day I'm going to smoke some rabbit for friends coming over, and I plan on using the new blade. Yeah....I'm working at the smoker/grill combo when I realize the libertariat is once again in hand, slicing meat, slicing vegetables, and being used as a frickin spatula as well as a serving utensil. I wish I was one of those new age guys that constantly clicked pictures with his phone, but I'm not. Didn't even have my phone on me the whole day. I know from watching threads on other forums also that the libertariat is not always the go-to knife for bushcrafters and such. I guess to a lot of guys it's kind of a novelty blade. But dang it, even our company was amazed at how much I was doing with that knife, machete, whatever you want to classify it as. It's been used in the garden, for butchering, meat and vegetable prepping, fire prep, and only a higher power knows how many boxes it has opened. Ok. Off my soapbox. The only thing I don't think it will do well is stab someone. But if I pushed really hard....
crap....that reminds me....i left my Libertariat in the sing full of dirty dishes and water and food for like the last 2 months....... come to think of it....the Expat cleaver is in that cesspool too!
