    Im adding a mouse trap to my kit. Just in case. Mice are everywhere and are useful for catching other critters or if needed eating my catch. Obviously a worse care scenario item.

    keep notes! every time you go out in the woods, keep detailed notes about what you used , how often, what you didn't use, where its stowed in your kit (is it in a good spot?) etc etc . I pared down my Scout Rig LB kit a lot and now its really getting dialed in

    I’m working on making all my smaller kits modular so I can easily pick and choose what I want to grab for a weekend in the woods. Work in progress.

    This my standard Loadout for a day hike in the warmer months. This pic is from a 14 day jungle trip at the start of the year.

    Cutting tools are a parang and Skookum bushtool

    Camelbak miltac Hawg with bladder

    Brew Kit with cups canteen etc

    Fire Kit

    AMK med kit

    Possibles bag with Dmt diafold, compass, insect repellent, cordage, ranger bands, SAK and headlight.

    Peice of thermal mat big enough to keep vital organs off the ground

    Rain Jacket/warm jacket

    Sun glasses

    That came in an Apocabox a year or two ago. Creek might still have some on his site for sale. I haven’t seen one for sale otherwise.
