Quality of life in the outdoors shows how much a person is not only familiar with materials in their own environment, but how a person can be comfortable, thus enjoying themselves a little more than the average Joe. These camp furnishings are all simple and were made with cordage (twine, bankline, zip-ties), saw, machete, tomahawk, Swiss Army Knife.

Post them up and tell what materials were used.

    Alabama Lean-To camp
    Pine, sweet gum.

    Simple Raised Bed
Made this with Jeff, Patrick and Hugh Coffee (sort of).
Tulip Magnolia, scrap for matress box-spring…enchanted Hemlock bows for bedding.

Peruvian Rainforest we use a swamp bed

A shelter, bench, table in the tropics when one simply cannot just stand around shooting the hay.

Modified Tri-pod swamp bed and chair
    Made mostly from sweet gum

    Simple raised bed in Alaska

Used birch, sphagnum moss, spruce and hemlock bows

    Firewood holder in the woods
Used whatever was dead and strong

Camp chair in the Eastern Woodlands
    Poplar and scrap pieces

    Camp shirt chair
Supported on witch hazel trees, used poplar for poles and a long sleeved t shirt

    Camp chair
Used witch hazel, maple and beech. Jute twine was used, but it was an epic failure. Most was replaced with bankline.

    Table/Work bench
Spend enough time in the woods and you will come to appreciate a flat surface to put things. Place gear at a level to not have to bend as much, etc.!

Mike commissioned that bench in Peru! It was a great morale booster.

Considering some of his food pics, he should have a cooking sub section in the Esee/Rat videos forum.
