I just bought the CR2.5 that msu7.62 had for sale, excited to finally try this blade out. It seems like my Esee collection use to be all blades too large to use outside of the woods or kitchen, but now I have a hard time deciding which blade I want to carry that day for work/life. This knife is going to make that decision even harder now.

I have been playing with some kydex, had a little ferro rod I wanted to add to it.

Going to order one today to give to my daughter's parrain as a Godparent's gift for her baptism next Sunday. He's been asking me about my thoughts on a good caping/deer cleaning knife that would be smaller than his Esee 3. So I think the CR2.5 will be very fitting to that task from reading everyones' experiences with it here.

Ordered last night from Knife works. First time I've used them for purchases, I took advantage of their engraving service and had "Parrain Matt" engraved on the non-logo side. Should be here in a couple days and I'll run it across my ceramic crock sticks before my wife wraps it.

I've got a feeling handling this one will spawn me buying one for myself.

My love for the CR2.5 is pretty public....I've convinced more than one to buy one of these blades and everyone has thanked me! I'd like to know your thoughts @The Marsh Gorilla

Depends on how wet the sock is and whether or not it is 100% cotton or if it has some synthetic in it or not...if 100% cotton I may have a chance.

I've briefly handled a CR2.5 before, but hadn't had the chance to try it side by side with my TOPS MSK 2.5. If I remember correctly the handle on the CR2.5 was longer than my MSK which I think will be better with cleaning game for an extended period of time.

So I took another kydex sheath and modified a molle clip so I can attach it to my HPG kit bag when it gets here. I tried it on the only laser cut molle I have and it worked great.

    Any thoughts?

I currently have it in a neck sheath

But I don’t think neck carry will work well with the kit bag on.

Which Kit bag did you get? This is how I mount mine to my heavy recon.

It's an Armatus Carry Solution sheath. Mounted this way it's always handy and never in the way.

I haven't gotten it yet since there is no stock, but as soon as one comes available I'm getting the heavy, i already have the accessory bag for the front, I was torn between it and the snubby but after talking to Scot my mind was set.

It will look similar to yours, since its foliage, close to the same knife setup also.
