Could have at the very least gotten into the hammock, and spooned him to warm him up. What the hell kind of friend are you anyways? Poor Shane...

Nice trip guys, wish I was there. That chest rig is really just a make-up pouch!

If you don't mind my asking, what are your thoughts on the Tarryall?

    No problem at all....

The Tarryall is 3200 ci of very well organized pack...top loading and panel loading with internal organization makes is a great weekend pack. Integrated bottle pocket on the side and a bellows pocket and outer pocket make it expandable.

I've also used it as a stripped down carry on the plane.

Quality of construction is what you expect from Kifaru....very high. Fit and finish are great and it was an easy process to order thru Kifaru and got it right out of the box with just some minimal adjustment. It handles the weight I've stuffed in it and performs as expected. Great pack well worth the money.

I'm a sucker for good gear and have an OLD Dana Gleason made Dana Designs....the quality that Kifaru and Hill People Gear are putting out makes me glad to shop with them.

I've been looking at the Tarryall since it was introduced. I'm running an HPG Aston House BC now and really like it so far, but I just can't seem to get the Tarryall out of my brain.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

I've been looking at that same set up from HPG...the AHBC seems to be more modular than the Tarryall. I like the way you can configure the HPG products. I like the UTE as well....Honestly I could go nuts in both the Kifaru and the HPG stores!

I ended up swapping out the Aston panel with an Aston pocket and like it much better, but that's because it makes it easy for my wife to grab frequently needed kid stuff without digging through anything without me taking off the pack. I had an Umlindi but I really like front loading vs top. The fact that the Tarryall has both is really appealing. I love the HPG prairie belt and the HPG shoulder harness is by far my favorite.

You're right. A trip to the Kifaru and HPG stores would be nuts. And insanely expensive.

I like that set up with the Ashton Pocket...I like the organizational options that set up offers. I really like the set up of the harness and prairie belt with the HPG stuff...good folks too.
