Given the amount of rain that we have been experiencing Patrick and I needed a concentrated video session. Fortunately we were able to find a window in between downpours to sneak away into the Cohutta Wilderness for an overnight trip.

The Cohuttas are just a long time favorite of mine and what I consider "home base". We had great weather and it got a little cool at night. Patrick slept in the cozy warmness of his Kifaru Sawtooth with a stove...while Izzy and I roughed it in the hammock...I woke up about 3:30AM with frozen toes in a 20* bag....Luckily I had some hand warmers nearby and was able to shove those into my socks to thaw things back out.

I know @Patrick Rollins has pics to contribute as well. I

@shaneadams90 Great pics, I can’t wait to put my CR2.5 to good use. Tell @Patrick Rollins his pouch is off center, he needs to fix it or he will walk in circles.

It drives me nuts too but he is fine with it.....I can only do so much with what I have to work with! lol

We didn't get the opportunity to do much exploring as this was more of a "work" trip....we filmed quite a few videos from our home base and were basically in a gorge along a tributary to the Upper Conasauga....not very "scenic" for pics but a great location for filming.

Every pic I have of Patrick wearing that chest rig he appears to be wearing it bandoleer style. Boy needs a mirror. You cannot go into the woods unless you have made sure everything fits properly and is color coordinated.

Fight the temptation to put too much stuff in it. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!

Hickory Creek Trail is where my daughters and I always hike. We just hike down to where it hits the river and set up camp. They love to play in the water there. I need to take a weekend off and head back that way.
