Andy those are beautiful. While I don't carry my revolvers much I'm still a revolver guy at heart. Until about 3 or 4 years ago all I owned for handguns was a couple of 357 revolvers.

Thanks mate, a mate of mine's older brother owned the 3 or 4th 586 ever imported into Aus back in the 80s. I fell in love with the L frame then. Carried K Frames around for many years and would have NO qualms doing so again.

I'm surprised Hillary hasn't made a visit to Aussieland to practice her confiscation skills. What kind of licenses do you have to maintain to have those, or are they for "work"? ;)

Yes the propaganda machine tells us all that guns are banned in Aus, no such thing. They are all personally owned (not work related). For handguns, I am a member of a pistol club and attend a range regularly (around 8 times per year to maintain the basic licence), for my longarms it is varied, I am also a member of a shooting club (three range attendances a year) and I hunt (member of a club and that covers that). I also have a collectors licence via membership of a club. Firearms held on a collectors licence may only be used at a range on specific approved dates, but most all do not regularly shoot the firearms held on these licences alone, those which I could hold as such are across all my licence classes so if I want to hun hogs with my '03 Springfield I can.

Andy, how is the queen's view of "sporting" rifles? Do you have the right to own anything you want, either outright, or via a process like our tax stamp/extortion system?

In general (there are exceptions to everything) semi rifles and shotguns and pump shotguns are no-nos. All other categories are no great issue to own, $30 fee to transfer title to the individual. There are "cooling off" periods (28days) for the first firearm of a class eg for a first handgun (H Class) but no period after the first in in possession.

Currently, this is my only one: Ruger LC9s. (I've been quasi-nomadic for professional reasons for years; lived in 30 places in the last six years; no option for carrying a lot of stuff around.)

Finest pistol I've ever owned. Picked it up 2nd hand for a steal. When I got it, it had some defects: bad recoil spring and a defective magazine that made it pop out randomly. Ruger fixed both free. Love it. Fits my hand like a glove. Rides at 4 o'clock everyday.

Sold my Marlin 336A in .3030 recently to the stepson of a friend. That was hard, but I was ready to move on. I'll replace it soon as possible with a Ruger American Ranch Rifle in .223/5.56 NATO.

Quinn is my favorite online review guy! He's a lefthand shooter who seems to have similar preferences to myself. I've never found myself disagreeing with his opinion on anything I've tried/bought that he reviewed.

^ Ditto that. Authentic southern redneck.
I was born down there, even if I now live up here where it's cooler.

I envy you getting to live in a cooler place! Farthest I've gotten north was Arkansas for a few years, at least I got to witness all four seasons for a bit. I love where I'm from/live but the humidity's a killer.

It took me hours to find this video review.
This one is what sold me on the LC9s.
