Just saw this, take down 9mm 16in barrel semiautomatic carbine, with the ability to accept sr9, glock and ruger american pistol mags. Imo ruger has been knocking it out of the park this year with new models. Msrp of 650 seems relatively reasonable. Also love the magazine versatility, I imagine that will be a huge selling point.

You thinking of the model 44 and Deerfield Carbine.
    44mag... not takedown though.

No it was a black carbine 9mm but i think it had their mags only. Yes it wasnt a takedown either. Ill google around and see what i can find. May have not even been a ruger.

I think that was called the Police Carbine.
I thought it was neat. But they didn't seem to be around for long.

No not at all. I was very close to trading into one but the deal fell through.

Now that's one I'd still love to have. Either version of it.

There was a PC-9 and PC-40 both worked pretty well.

Waaaaay back when I had one of the .44mag autoloaders that was tube fed. It was a great little rifle (within the limitations of such things) and I spoilt more than a few Hog's day with it.

Just my luck. I got into a beretta 92fs so I could get a decent carbine that takes the same mags. I had to Glock hasn't stepped up to the plate and the Glock mag options weren't what I wanted.

I guess now I'll have a cx4/92fs combo and will need to buy a Glock 17/Ruger PC carbine combo.

Yeh, when I first heard that Ruger was producing this new rifle, I had the model 44 in mind. I've always liked the idea of that rifle. I was a little disappointed after seeing this rifle. Kinda like when Colt started making the Cobra revolver again. In my mind I thought they were bringing back the King Cobra, not their .38 snub nose.

Yeah... I don't have a semi auto pistol caliber carbine. But I do have a sheeit ton of G19 and G17 mags soo I may "need" to try this. :)

I’m dying for the PC Carbine. I’ve been watching videos on it for a month and drooling every time.

I have one of the original PC9 carbines and it is a great rifle it only takes p-series magazines. I really like the takedown and ability to take Glock mags.

A handgun and a rifle chambered for the same cartridge is just a solid way to go, period. The people who pioneered the West knew this, out of necessity.

It’s on the list. I love my bolt 77 Ruger in .357. I’m not much into rifle calibers anymore. Longest I can shoot around here is about 150 yards. Tons of fun shooting .38’s out that far.

Get a nice 1-4x scope for that 9mm. Hey.. I can shoot USPSA with that thing!
