Decided to prototype my “Foraging Pouch” today.

The Pouch measures 12 inches wide by about 15 inches usable 16 inches total. Folded it measure 4 inches by 4 inches 1 inch thick.

Very well done. I also collect those nylon mesh bags like mess kits come in. A fine mesh one takes up almost no room in a pack or pocket, you can toss it plants and all in a soak solution (I use about a tablespoon of white vinegar per qt of water, removes residues and helps release soil or other surface contaminants.) I've used one as a creel, bait dip net,or even collected tinder and twigs in it. Handy things the manufacture sends with the pots.:)

Not sure how many of you are in the Southwest, but this book is one of the best I've found for down here. I've had the opportunity to spend some time with John Slattery (the author) not only is he a super knowledgeable guy (who lives out his knowledge in practice) but that practical knowledge and skill are really apparent in his book. Grabbed some blackberries and raspberries while I was putting out trail cams.

GEEEZZZZ! I don’t know why I didn’t think to take some pictures but love me some blackberries! A few weeks ago I was at my parents and we where killing it with the blackberries! Funny part is each of the kiddos tried flying with a cup of blackberries and TSA tried to take them away for “containing to much liquid”... our response was GOOD that just means they are nice and ripe and plump and ready to eat :)
