This video hits facebook today. Weve had access to it for a little bit since the forum has early access to the goodies. Which blade is the best? Lets settle this once and for all.

    Lets get ready to rumble!!!

In this corner wearing Dark Earth and weiging in at 2.0 ounces we have the Izula!

And in this corner wearing Black and weighing in at 3.2 ounces we have the Izula 2!

Lets keep it a clean fight gentlemen And some other stuff ... DING!

@Azimuth check out the product placement!

If it looks cold in this video it's because it was!!! It was 14 degrees the day we filmed this video! to say it was challenging would be an understatement. We spent the first 2hrs without a fire, by the time we got the fire built the batteries were on their last leg! Fun day though!

As much as I like the Izula the Izzy II just works better for me...I do have an Izula with TKC scales on it that I carry IWB when I can fit in my skinny jeans that I really like.

The Izula is what started this whole ESEE thing for me...it's been a favorite for some time! (my dogs name is Izula May! Izzy for short).......BUT......I find that I am using the CR2.5 way WAY more than my Izulas!

LOVE the Izula II. With that being said it is not my favorite of the two but purely for sentimental reasons My only Izula is my tried and true Damascus Izzy. Now with THAT being said, you give me a raindrop pattern Damascus Izzy II and the fight would be over just like that.

Iz 1 is the "OG" in edc. :). Having no need for the carabiner hole mine wears TKC's, it's cut the hide off more critters, dices more veg than any other knife I own. Truth be told I could get away with nothing else a huge majority of the time.

Original for me. It started this Esee nonsense for me. I used to have an izula II and it was great but my hands are small enough that the standard izula was enough handle.

Sorry, that video settled nothing. Some just like a bigger handle, and some prefer the compactness of the original.
I went with the Izula 2 with scales, but why did you have to show me that Damascus one? Damn, another on my hit list. ;)

So far this thread only shows that emotional attachment to a knife is the only reason anyone chooses an izula over an Izzy 2. Bam! Truth.

I prefer the compact size of the Izula over the Izula 2. I have several of both. The Izula 2 rarely gets carried. I also wear size xl gloves. The Izula just balances better.

Izula II got my vote because of the extra 1/2 " of length. With TKC G-10 scales it fits my hand perfectly and the blade becomes an extension of my index finger for skinning deer and wild hogs.

I preferred the izula over the 2. Whenever I found myself needing the extra handle I usually wanted the extra blade I get with the esee 3. The izula fits awesome in a pocket or on the belt

I personally cant make that call.... I have gifted numerous Izula's and have a couple tucked in places i don't want to forget a blade such as in my tackle box or diaper bag. BUT if i know i am going to need a small knife in a given day i will take out the Izula 2 without thinking.

IMO, i have not found a good scale option for the Original Izula. ESEE6&3 once made me a a set that were close to what i was hoping to find but didn't work out. While i don't think the Izula 2 is the perfect knife for my hand i haven't found better!

To be fair. I actually voted for the Izzy II. The Damascus Izzy is just my favorite

I wish the clip on the sheath could be turned for horizontal belt carry. Always like both knives but the methods of stock carry options just don’t do it for me.

I run my izzy 1 horizontally. I got 3/4 screws in, and it is solid

Spyderco G clip. Fits with no modding necessary. I love it on mine.
