You are not alone... As an aside, and being an old-ish fart now, in an historical context the Buck 110 is an icon of many sorts. For instance, every dude in my high school had one on his belt pretty much through all 5 years, and nobody ever got stabbed. There were lots of fisticuffs behind the shop area but no stabbings at all. And most trucks and cars had a rifle or shotgun in them during hunting seasons (and a good part of the rest of the year too) but nobody got shot either. I can't look at a Buck 110 or Schrade LB7 without thinking about school. Times sure have changed...
Not as insidious as it sounds - Ontario used to have Grade 13... now the kids call it a victory lap, usually for another year of sports!!!
I figured it was something like that. One year alone was probably just to get really good at hockey. Which is why America has such a hard Tim beating Canada. You all get an extra year of practice.
Picked this up from the Custom Shop back in summer 2015. Rarely have I been so pleased with a knife purchase. S30V, Nickel Silver bolsters, black G10
These three items are all tied together but this is the actual 110 that resulted in me getting 33 stitches as a kid.
Over many years I have owned 3. The first I left with a native guide in Canada after a successful Moose hunt, the second I left with my guide on Kodiak Island after a successful bear hunt and the third I gave to my son who has now passed on to his son. They last a long time.
