Living unsupervised for a couple of weeks so I have reverted to my favourite dining style...LOTSA meaty bits... 680 gm ribeye (24OZ I think), three rashers of streaky bacon and oiled/salted asparagus spears (I sometimes add garlic when I am oiling them and sometimes not). Meat meat simply rubbed with crack black pepper, pink salt and some olive oil....let sit on the bench (with anti-pup countermeasures in place) for a few hours....grill smoking hot !!! All ready...... And about 10mins later...
Do it! I picked up some sheep milk smoked cheese and the sherry walnut salami today to try some new flavors and we weren't dissapointed Haha it was grocery day for us. However it is pretty cheap to make one of these up, aside from the fancy salami in the center and the sheep cheese on the side everything was something we keep on hand or only costs a couple bucks at the grocery store
We typically all eat together and dinner usually goes pretty smooth but they certainly don't appreciate the finer things in life
local very EXPENSIVE bar on Howe/Smythe St Vancouver that caters to judges and lawyers, serves up something similar called a PloughMans Platter.......I treated myself and a lady about 10 years ago........$20 martinis and a PloughMans Platter later.....($200 later.........LOL) I was hooked on such plates of awesomeness.
