Hey, 42. Will you be carrying the Condor Jungolo? If so, will you offer flat grind as an option?

Yes sir--we'll definitely be carrying that model once available. By flat grind, to what do you refer in specific? Even if not offered as a standard part of our Special Grade work, we do custom requests all the time, including mail-in work. :)

That's what I meant, I know you do ffg as a service, so I was wondering if you would consider doing it to Jungolo. I like the big knives Condor makes, but their thick grinds make them hard to use as knives.

My question was more of what sort of flat grind do you mean? The edge, or a primary?

The primary. To make it look more like a saber grind.

Yeah that's doable. Standard Special Grade work will just be the edge though.

It is in!! So if I wanted it all-in FFG, how much extra would that be? I know it's a lot of material to remove, and I would do it myself if I had a belt grinder, but I want it to be lighter and thinner. I feel like 1075 is already plenty strong.

I've had mine for around 7-8 months now and it's a cool tool for sure! It's thick tho, so a little thinning wouldn't hurt... I also find the handles large and blocky - if I could have some handle contouring and blade thinning, it would be about perfect!

I'll have to have a look at one and see just how much metal I'd be hogging off. I've had a full plate the past few days but should be able to get to scoping it out tomorrow. Feel free to pester me if I don't shoot you a message.

After looking it over, for a full flat grind conversion you'd be looking at around $50. It's a lot of metal to remove and a lot of surface area which means lots of time spent keeping it misted and cool.

On, I hear you on that. I ffg-d a Kabar Potbelly once, and it took forever. $50 sounds fair. So, what's the total to ship to Arlington, TX?

Shipping to your location would be $15.28, for a shipped total of $154.51

Book me, bubba!! Not tonight, I'm drinking right now, but I'll get with you tomorrow (next week, at worst) and will place an order for it.

Just lemme' know whenever you're ready for it and I'll add a "reserved option" in the Special Grade menu and you can just check out through the site. Keeps it simple. :)

Publishing the update right now and you should be able to see the option under the Special Grade drop-down in just a minute or two. :)
