Sig's new subcompact has a small size with a large capacity. I'm a big fan of my Sig (P238) so I may have to give this a try up against the Glock 43 & Shield. http://soldiersystems.net/2018/01/08/introducing-the-sig-sauer-p365/
Man you beat me to posting this, maybe I will delete this thread and start a new one, but I will start it I might be getting me one of these....
Buds doesn't have them yet. Appears that they are priced right and come with sufficient and a variety of magazines and sights.
Man.. I’m kinda done with the little 9mm guns. I mean, I get it. When I first got my carry permit I thought my LCP was printing. I could only carry my shield with a coat. Then over time you learn what works and what doesn’t. These small guns have there place. But after carrying for 4 years I will start carrying my new M&P 2.0 compact as soon as my holster gets made. A gun that size I never thought I’d be able to carry will be on my side by the end of the week.
This is my thought right now. I was excited about it then I started thinking it’s too small to carry AIWB and I hate pocket carry. Then I saw a video on it and damn if it isn’t tiny. Now I need to decide if I should buy night sights and mag extensions for my 43 or get a Glock 19 (legally limited to 10 round mag regardless).
Even limited to 10 rounds the g19 is a better choice than a G43 with extensions. I have a taran Tactical +3 for my G43 backup mag and I find myself not using the extra for grip.
I will be looking at these a bit when they come out. I have a 43 with TT +2s that I carry, love it as a carry piece too, but damn, 11 rounds and the same size... I also have a 19, 21, and a Ruger LCP.
i hated it! for some reason, the trigger guard and my middle finger doesn't get along at all. now that i'm looking at those pictures i think it's the mag release that's biting into my finger because i would feel a sharp bite on every shot...it was like a needle prick level of pain. just by fondling all 3 (g43, shield, and p365) the shield had the best feeling grip for me (perfect back to front grip thickness and texture with my hands) but i was consistently better with the glock though while shooting...especially without using the sights and just using muscle memory (or whatever that drawing motion is called) to aim. the g43's trigger also felt the best to me. the shield and p365's high bore axis compared to the g43 also annoyed me a lot but i could get used to it if i had to. i guess i'm just so used to my glock 17 now that even shooting a 1911 that high bore axis annoys me because i now have to consciously shift my eyes higher than what i'm now used to.
I'm trying to decide if I want to replace my Sig with one of these. You know...since the wife gave my 2022 to son #2 for his birthday... But the Kel Tec p11 immediately crossed my mind...
I have had a P11 for about 8 years, mine functions fine but they can be picky. The only problem that I have run into is if you ride the slide at all it will not feed hollow points. I have a early model I think the trigger was originally 12lbs. That is my only complaint other than it is just a little too big to pocket carry.
I've got a first generation p32. Keep it clean and lubed and it works fine. I really liked my 2022, and so did the boy... but I'm thinking along the lines if getting something smaller to carry with me that is cheaper. But i keep looming at another sp101 also.
How in the hell do you guys get a full grip on these things? My buddy has a new shield and it’s just way too small as was his G26. No way I’d ever feel comfortable enough shooting something that small to be confident enough to say I’m RESPONSIBLY carrying.
