Camp-Lore PR4

Be sure to check out the new Patrick Rollins’ designed PR4 at the upcoming Blade Show in Atlanta.

The ESEE Camp-Lore PR4 is Patrick Rollins’ take on Horace Kephart’s classic design. The original prototype was made by James Gibson and has been tested extensively by Patrick during survival classes, off-trail backpacking, hiking and camping over the last 18 months. The upcoming Rowen built production PR4 will feature a 4″ blade with a 4.75″ handle, 1/8″ thick 1095 HC steel blade, 90 degree spine for striking a Ferro rod and a leather pouch sheath. It may not be pretty but it is designed to work, like all the other ESEE Knives.

  • Blade Overall Length: 4.19”
  • Cutting Edge Length: 4.0”

  5. We should have a production schedule from Rowen when we see them at the Blade Show next week. Once we know this we will update the website with the information. Thanks for the comments! - Jeff
    • Thank you for the update I'll keep checking in.
    • Hey Jeff, will any be for sale at Blade? I've picked up a 3, 5 (+ sheath kit), and arrow from past Blades. The pr4 is now on the list to get.
  6. Anthony, the PR4 will not be available for sale at Blade but production prototypes will be there so drop by the booth. We should have a production schedule on the new stuff by Blade show. - Jeff
  7. Awesome knife. Any word on when the pr4 will be available for sale??
  8. Shon's production schedule puts this knife shipping to dealers between end of September and first of November, so I'd say October time frame.
    • Thank you for the update Jeff, I have been checking in daily. I can't tell you my excitement. After I held my first ESEE knife I sold my EKs and Randall's. These knives where built to work. As I started my decent into bushcraft I learned about and became jealous of the Kephart style knives. Now finally I can get an ESEE version and not cheat on my favorite knife brand. It will find a home with my other 6 knives. Will any online retailers be doing a preorder?
  9. Looking forward to this one. I'm really liking the look of the new black oxide finish as well. Any plans to offer this finish on your other models?
  10. I can't wait for this blade to be in the local BC Canada knife shops. Very nice .

  14. I held one yesterday at one Randall’s Adventure classes that Patrick was teaching. Hint hint... register for a class :) It's the length of my ESEE 4 and thickness of the 3. I really like the Kephart design and the Sabre grind. Its nice to see them blended. I cant wait to try it out. My wife already wants one for Christmas.
  15. PR4 will be my next purchase!
