Having spent a couple years there I am not Surprised! I don’t know why you would need to thou.. There are more Whistle Pigs around then you can shake a stick at, more then ammo you can buy and easily 1000x as many as there are humans.. They are as bad as lemmings! And he’ll on nice wheels and your undercarriage.. I’ve easily killed hundreds with each vehicle just driving down the road and even trying to avoid as many as I could..

My point being eat Whistle Pigs and not your buddies!....

I've never had human, but I've ate my share of groundhog. My opinion is obviously biased but I know I'm not a fan of groundhog...

Not so sure about that... I believe it was the Plague that was going around in the local whistle pig population when we where there... Not sure what’s worse The Plague or Mad Human disease :)

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when my state legislators were debating 18-5003:

    TITLE 18
    CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS
    CHAPTER 50
    MAYHEM
18-5003. CANNIBALISM DEFINED — PUNISHMENT. (1) Any person who wilfully ingests the flesh or blood of a human being is guilty of cannibalism.
    (2) It shall be an affirmative defense to a violation of the provisions of this section that the action was taken under extreme life-threatening conditions as the only apparent means of survival.
    (3) Cannibalism is punishable by imprisonment in the state prison not exceeding fourteen (14) years.
    History:
    [18-5003, added 1990, ch. 210, sec. 2, p. 468.]

Right? Which of course begs the question - if you eat multiple people, is it 14 years for each? :D

Also worth noting that 18-5003 was added to the books in 1990 - not 1890.

I'm really curious if anyone has been charged under this law.

I wonder if the Jeffrey Dahmer case spawned that. Seems like it was around that time period iirc.

In same cases I have been a little peckish after dinner....I would generally consider this as "extreme" and "life threatening", it may not be MY life threatened....but a threat to someone's life. I found REH Seasoning works wonders both door to door vacuum sales people and Jehovah's Witnesses alike.... ;)

They should put that on the packaging. That's an endorsement if I've ever heard one.
