Thanks man, I've been thinking about heading back up to see if I can find any fresh tracks.

    **UPDATE TO THREAD**

My gut feeling seems to have been justified. Tonight just before dusk, multiple people witnessed a large male cougar leaving the forest I was in during this trip report. This is very likely the very same cougar that I was stalked by on New Years of 2017, in the very same area of the very same forest.

    One more *UPDATE*

The large black bear I mentioned in this trip is currently rooting around in one of my neighbors garbage (that they left outside.....o_O).

The predators of my area appear to be very active at the moment, coming out due to warm weather, so it's no doubt I likely came very close to one during this trip a few days back.

The bear being around at Midnight is normal, but the Cougar was spotted nearly 1.5 hours before sundown tonight. It was still broad daylight...
