Children of the 80s show yourselves! I’ve been slowly regressing and found myself using a fannypack In the woods more and more. It started with the Fieldline pack with a Maxpedition mini-rollypolly for a Nalgene bottle. A few weeks ago I stepped it up to an Osprey Talon 6. So far I’m liking it. Use these on short outings or when my son is carrying the hunting frame. Any one else want to confess to using a fanny pack. Fluorescent colors and Gucci’s are all welcome!
So true. The fanny pack just moved 180 degrees around and a couple feet up. Never tried pairing my AGC bino carrier with a fanny pack. That may be up next!
I have an HPG Belt Pack, but I use it as a Cross Body Bag. It does nice, especially while driving or on short hikes or about the town. It holds my Gat, Cell, wallet, hand sanitizer, snacks, pills and potions, essential oils, etc.
I ran my first full marathon and countless half marathons with this fanny pack. 3 miles per day every week day since about 2016 and it still looks brand new. Just big enough for my phone, keys, and some lickies/chewies. I've also attached a photo of my cat wearing a sweat band. Enjoy.
Lol I’ll take it as a counts. took the osprey out on its first hunt and it was super comfortable on a 4 hour hike. Yes hike. We got nothing. But the pack was great!
Thats how the cookie crumbles sometimes! I have a buddy at work that invited me rabbit hunting a few times when I first started. Others were invited but only the two of us showed. We got nothing two weekends in a row. I was new to the area and he had been hunting there all his life. I gave him a hard time and said if you wanted to just go on a long walk in the woods you could have just asked lol. I did it at lunch the second time and his wife who was there still teases him. Anyway I’ll post up one of my mother setups when I get a chance.
